Sausage Pie with Crumb Topping
- 1 each of grated potato, onion, carrot and apple
- 450 gm sausage meet
- 1 lightly beaten egg
- 2 tbsp tomato relish
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
- 1 pack of flakey pastry
Topping
- 1 c fresh breadcrumbs
- ½ grated cheddar or tasty cheese
Preheat the oven to 200C and grease and line a 22 cm cake or pie dish with your rolled out pastry. Squeeze the excess moisture from the grated potato, then in a large mixing bowl mix all the ingredients for the pie filling together with clean hands. Spoon this into the pastry lined dish and spread evenly. Mix the breadcrumbs and cheese and sprinkle over the pie. Bake for 30-35 mins until golden.
