Violets Blue by Blackbird Designs

The ground is covered in snow and it is so cold here in the Midwest. We are tucked in front of a blazing fire as we dream of the arrival of spring. We know when the weather warms up and the grass thruns green, violets will pop up all over the yard adding lovely littlw dots of purple, white and yellow.

Our pink cottage in this sampler is perched upon a hill surrounded by giant violets. The large blooms add a touch of folk art. Barb celebrates the year her parents were married in this piece.

Model stitched on 30 ct. Iced Cappuccino using Classic Colorworks, Weeks Dye Works and Gentle Arts threads. Stitch count is 139 x 148.
