Annies Newsletter - New range of fabrics called Boderie Boheme
Hi there, another busy has week rolled around and the nights (or rather the daylight hours) are definitely getting shorter. However I enjoy the change of seasons and I think it would be strange to live somewhere where it was either winter or summer all year round.
New in this week, is this gorgeous new range of fabrics called Boderie Boheme from a new French designer Odile Bailloeul. It is funky and bright and will work well well fabric from Kaffe Fasset, Amy Butler and other Free Spirit designers. It also look amazing with Sue Spargo’s stunning wool applique work. It is $29.90 per metre or we have bundles of FQ’s and F1/8ths if you prefer.
Speaking of Sue Spargo designs, I am pleased to finally be able to show you my finished “In Full Bloom”. This is one that I have been working on for a wee while, and Ali B has done a fantastic job with the quilting which finishes off beautifully. If you would like to make your own version, we do still have the book, and a huge stock of new wool fabrics are due in early April.
Don’t forget that we have a full mail order service. There are hundreds of items on our website (just ask my web people!) However it is impossible to list everything, so if you can’t find what you need the best way is to give us a ring at the shop. In some areas of the country, sadly, it is a long way between quilt shops – but if you need to post fabric samples or email pictures to match up threads or additional fabrics we are happy for you to do that too.
Our Free Bernina Classes with National Educator Julie Veck start this Thursday and it is not too late to book in. For more details follow this link to the class page.
If you need a little (or a lot) of international quilt inspiration, registrations are now open for Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas for 2018. This is a mecca for quilters from all over the world, and something that you should do at least once! http://quilts.com/festival-info.html
