Hi there, today we are “on the road again....” Sing it if you know it..., well maybe not. Anyway, we are heading north this week to spend some time with family as well as being a merchant for the Motueka Quilt Show.

These very talented ladies always put on an excellent exhibition which is well worth a visit, so we will look forward to seeing you at the Motueka Recreation Centre Friday through until Sunday!

Just in case you weren’t too sure, I can tell you that Christmas is coming! We have already received the first lot of Christmas advent calendar panels ($20.00 each) with co-ordinating fabrics and miniature stocking panels. There are also a whole heap of assorted Christmas fabrics and fat quarters due to arrive any day. It is never too early to start on these projects!

Also just arrived in are lots new black, white and grey fabrics, and there are number of really cool prints with writing and numbers on them.

This week’s recipe is a little taste of summer which you can enjoy anytime...

Berry Square

• 2 sheets sweet puff pastry
• 210 g softened cream cheese
• 1 cup frozen berries
• 1/3 c raw sugar

Preheat the oven to 200C. Cut each sheet of pastry into 8 squares. Spread each square with a tablespoon of cream cheese and top with a large teaspoon of berries. Sprinkle with raw sugar and bake for 12 mins until puffed and golden. Dust with icing sugar and serve with icecream or custard for a quick easy dessert.
